Mukthi Pharma, a Small Scale Industrial unit engaged in the manufacture of quality Ayurvedic Medicines were established in the year 1996 at Mudapuram, Chirayinkeezhu, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India byT. Biju Kumarwith technical advices and assistance from  Dr. S. Raja Mohanan Nair B.A.M, Dr. Beena B.A.M.S and Dr. V. Leena B.A.M.S. Mr. T. Biju Kumar proprietor of M/S Mukthi Pharma is an enterprising business man with an experience of over 18 years in the field of production and marketing of Ayurvedic Medicines.

M/S Mukthi Pharma started with a capital of ten lakhs in 1996 currently having assets worth Rs. 55 lakhs. At present we are having a turnover of over Rs. 84 lakhs.

Mukthi Pharma manufactures about 200 varieties of Ayurvedic Medicines & 50 proprietory drugs, almost all of the patent drugs were formulated and developed by their own Research and development wing. Mukthi’s products has become a household name among Keralites as the same are manufactured adhering to stringent, quality control and are marketed through Mukthi’s own well developed marketing network.

As per the guidelines from W.H.O, Govt: of India has enforced certain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to be followed by the manufactures for the improvement in quality of Ayurvedic Medicines. Mukthi Pharma is the first recipient of GMP certificate in South Kerala from the Drugs Controller Kerala, and one among the very few recipient of GMP certificate in India and also approved under the reimbursement of Medical Claims of Government Servants Issued by Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Planning.  Mukthi Pharma has taken ISO 9001:2000 in the year 2008.

It has been Mukthi Pharma’s constant striving to introduce traditional Ayurvedic products and formulation in very convenient forms. Accordingly two of the widely used Ayurvedic formulations available only in Oil form were converted to Ointment form by our R&D. Department and same are marketed in convenient collapsible tubes for first time in India. The above two products are marketed with brand name Inflanil and Dermosooth. Inflanil ointment has anti-inflammatory and Analgesic properties and also is very effective in the treatments of cuts, injuries fracture, and burns and provides instant relief from backache, muscle and joint pains etc. Dermosooth ointment is very effective for the treatment of itching and burning sensation of the skin and for cracked heals. These two products are the result of more than 8 months intense research and development work carried out by Prof. G. Raveendranathan Nair ( Rtd. Principal, College of Pharmacy, Tvm), Mr.T.S.K.Pillai M.Pharm and Mr.G.K.Nair our consultant. Some of the other fast moving products are M-Cough Syrup, Dhatura Plus, Kesakamalam Hair Tonic, Balamukthi, Lavanyasudha ,Sona Fasirness Cream, Relaks Pain Balm, Murivenna, Ramacham Ayurvedic Soap and different varieties of classical drugs.
